Safety Data Sheets and Labels Have Changed

  •

1 June 2015

With the ongoing changes to European chemical safety regulations associated with REACH and GHS/CLP, Magnaflux EMEA has revised its Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) and product labels to ensure that the information they provide is both up-to-date and compliant.

In particular, for all chemical consumable products manufactured from 1st June 2015, all SDSs and labels have been brought into line with the CLP Regulation (EU) No 1272/2008 associated with the re-classification of ‘mixtures and preparations’.

The most obvious change is to our product labels where you will see the familiar ‘CHIP’ orange boxes have been replaced by the new ‘CLP’ red and white diamonds.

It is understandable that this change will raise some questions. The key point to understand is that our products have not physically changed; they have simply been reclassified under the new regulations. However, these changes may have implications on your local chemical risk assessments. For more information, visit our ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ page.
