Safe handling of powdered materials and dusts

  •

Magnaflux EMEA has extended its Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) section on chemical safety to include a section dedicated to the safe handling of powdered materials and dusts.

There are two potential hazards that you should be aware of when using powdered materials, namely:

  • some of their ingredients will have associated Workplace Exposure Limits (WELs). Information on the recommended levels of exposure to such ingredients can be found in our Magnaflux EMEA Safety Data Sheets.
  • under certain conditions, powdered materials may represent a fire hazard or become an explosive mixture in air. Information on this potential risk is stated in Section 5.2 of our Safety Data Sheets.

One of our key objectives when we launched this website was to provide resources to support our customer base. As part of this, we compiled a comprehensive resource of FAQs and we are continually adding to it inresponse to feedback and questions from our customers. If you have anything that you would like to see included within these resources, please contact us.
