Magnaflux EMEA is delighted to announce the launch of the Universal WE Stationary Crack Detection Unit, which represents a significant upgrade to the Universal 600/900 WE. The new unit was introduced in May 2015 and was shown at the CONTROL 2015 exhibition in Stuttgart (Germany).

The Universal WE is a test bench designed for current flow and yoke magnetisation. Using additional accessories, it can also be used for magnetic field flux and induction flux method testing.

Product features/benefits:

  • Flexible inspection of workpieces. Whilst the standard unit can be used to test workpieces with a maximum clamping length of 600mm, the modular design allows this to be simply extended to 900mm using the optional extension kit.
  • Upgraded user interface using touch screen technology that allows to store inspection parameters of different work pieces, making the inspection process simpler, safer and quicker. When changing test pieces, the test parameters have to be modified, for example, for different magnetizing values and times, with or without demagnetization, separate or combined testing. Our units help inspectors to adjust the correct parameters using push-button actuation.
  • UIpgraded tailstock travel mechanism with pneumatic brake, to aid an easy adjustment for different workpiece lengths.
