The MAG 50 series of test bench units are heavy-duty machines that have been specially designed for the magnetic detection of defects in ferrous components, such as machine parts, castings, forgings, etc. Large or irregularly shaped parts can be examined singly in quick succession, or a number of small open-ended parts can be threaded on a conductor bar and inspected simultaneously.
Use with our MAGNAGLO fluorescent magnetic ink to optimise inspection, especially when components are being inspected in an ‘as forged’ condition, when discoloured by hardening or other processes or, in the case of engine components, after use and prior to engine overhaul by magnetic particle inspection.
All MAG 50 units come with a separate power pack and stainless steel tank with recirculating ink pump and filter. They can also be customised to perfectly suit your customer’s application and needs.

Ideal ApplicationDetect and locate fatigue cracks or processing defects in ferrous components, using the ‘wet continuous’ method of magnetic particle inspection.
StandardsAll units carry the CE mark and conform to the appropriate EU directives.

Contact pads ensure reliable electrical contact with parts during mag particle testing.
