New chemical product icons – what do they mean?

You may notice some new diamond-shaped icons - like the ones shown above - appearing on our product labels and on this website.  What do they mean?

We have introduced these icons as 'product-type descriptors'. In the past, we have used language translations to describe the product type but we realised that it was not possible to show every language across our territory (Europe, the Middle East and Africa).

To overcome the language barrier, we developed these new icons as a pictorial representation of the product type - for example, a fluorescent penetrant, a paint or a cleaner - so our users can quickly recognise what product type we are referring to. You will see these icons appearing in more and more places - for example, our website, product labels, product data sheets and posters.
